Her artwork focuses on the beauty of our natural world. She has a degree in Studio Art from Houghton College and has studied in Florence\, Italy. Allow this process to serve as a method of release and rescue as the materials dictate the end result. Organic shapes and meaningful art using found objects are produced in this workshop. Throughout this discussion\, we will explore the past\, present and future of wine in the Finger Lakes – from grape varietals to stylistic shifts to booming tourism and industry wide trends. \nYou will taste eight different wines as our incredibly knowledgeable speakers take you on a journey through the eras.  \nOur speakers include Will King – Director of the Greyton Taylor Wine Museum\, Peter Bell – a longtime FLX winemaker\, Gina Lee – FLCC’s Coordinator of Viticulture and Wine Technology\, and Point of the Bluff’s Winemaker\, Mike Countryman. See below for their individual bios. \nJoin us in celebrating the history of this extraordinary wine region we get to call home!  \nSpeaker Bios \n— \nWilliam King \nA native of the Finger Lakes\, William grew up working in his family’s vineyards as well as working for various local wineries and restaurants. He has a MS in Education From the University at Albany and has earned certifications from Wine Scholars Guild\, Court of Masters and WSET. He currently is the Director of the Greyton Taylor Wine Museum.  \nPeter Bell \nPeter Bell was head winemaker at Dr. Frank’s Winery for five years\, and at Fox Run Vineyards for 27 years before retiring in 2022. During this time he was also active in lecturing and consulting worldwide\, and acting as mentor to a generation of younger winemakers. He is now semi-retired and runs Finger Lakes Wine Consulting LLC. \nGina R. Lee \nCoordinator FLCC Viticulture & Wine Technology programs \nGina Lee has been involved with FLCC’s Viticulture and Wine Technology programs for the last decade and was the key person responsible for getting the program’s micro-farm license. She is an integral force behind FLCC’s annual fundraiser for the Culinary\, Hospitality\, and Viticulture called Vintner’s & Valentines where they have raised over $100\,000 since its inception in 2016.  \nHer passion for helping students succeed is her driving force to make sure the programs are useful and up to date with their offerings and equipment. \nMike Countryman \nWinemaker at Point of the Bluff Vineyards \nMike Countryman has 30+ years of experience in winemaking and vineyard management in the Finger Lakes. He is a hands-on winemaker who stays involved in every aspect of the process\, from planting the vines to bottling.

The workshop is designed to help participants understand the fundamentals of this trendy technique through step-by-step instruction with lots of tips and tricks to make the most of simple supplies. SUMMARY:Full Moon Yoga at Point of the Bluff Vineyards
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our second Full Moon Yoga of the season! Enjoy an hour guided yoga session followed by a glass of wine! \nDuring the full moon we will explore the theme of full awareness through the practice of yoga poses. This class is open to all levels of experience. Lauren\, the class instructor\, will guide you with an easeful flow from one pose to the next. Lauren earned her Kripalu certification in 1998 and also completed Ana Forrest Advanced Teacher Training in 2017 at Kripalu. She began teaching Yoga in NYC and has taught for over 20 years at colleges and various learning centers. She currently teaches at Keuka Peaceful Roots in Hammondsport. \nThis yoga class will take place in our semi open air pavilion above the tasting room. Class will start at 8:00pm. Arrive 15 minutes prior to set up and get comfortable. Come dressed for yoga (we recommend some layers) and bring a mat! Class will end at 9:00pm and be followed by a complimentary glass of Point of the Bluff wine.
