The trio quickly gained attention for their laid-back\, groovy style and G. Love’s unique vocal delivery\, blending rap-like spoken word with bluesy singing. \nTheir debut self-titled album\, G. Love & Special Sauce\, was released in 1994 on Epic Records and included the hit single “Cold Beverage\,” which became popular on alternative radio stations and MTV\, solidifying their presence in the music scene. The band’s style has been described as a mix of “slacker blues” and “alternative hip-hop\,” as they frequently incorporate elements of 90s hip-hop beats with classic blues rhythms. \nOver the years\, G. Love & Special Sauce remains a beloved name in the music scene\, blending genres in a way that feels fresh and authentic. \nABOUT DONAVON FRANKENREITER \nFor nearly two decades Donavon Frankenreiter has been traveling the globe\, first as a professional surfer and now as a musician. Born in Southern California\, Donavon spent most of his youth chasing waves\, turning pro at the age of 16. \nThese days instead of surf competitions\, it’s concert halls that bring Frankenreiter to town\, where he entertains audiences with his unique blend of laid-back grooves\, philosophical lyrics and soulful delivery. \nThis year\, Frankenreiter releasing his first studio in 9 years\, out September 20\, 2024. The album\, entitled Get Outta Your Mind\, marks the 20 year anniversary of his self-titled debut album. \nABOUT MOON TAXI \nOnce again ready to push the boundaries of their genre\, Nashville based indie alt-rock band Moon Taxi is back with their sixth full length album\, Set Yourself Free. With tracks ranging from rock to synth to pop to bluegrass\, the new lineup showcases what 15 years as a band gets you: a polished\, classic sound without fear of exploration. The five-member group- vocalist/guitarist Trevor Terndrup\, lead guitarist Spencer Thomson\, bassist Tommy Putnam\, keyboardist Wes Bailey\, and drummer Tyler Ritter- stepped back into their roots to create an album primarily written and recorded by themselves and set for release on their own label\, 12th South Records. \n“It was really rewarding for each of us. The last record had quite a few co-writes- this record did not. We challenged ourselves to write most of the material on our own and that’s really something to hang your hat on these days when you typically hire an outside writer or producer\,” said Bailey on the band’s creative process. “We really tried to look inward and do a lot of that on our own.” Remote collaboration on Set Yourself Free started for the group during the pandemic\, but 15 years of working together made that transition a smooth one. \n“During the pandemic\, we got used to FaceTime songwriting. For better or worse\, it’s been a great way for everyone to collaborate remotely. The lyics for the title track\, Set Yourself Free\, were even written on a 5 way call. And the song shows that collaborative color throughout. The idea of falling back on someone you trust is so important nowadays. But truly it’s how we’ve tried to operate as a band for all these years.” said Terndrup. \n“You know\, we’ve been a band for a while and we know each other really well. We spend a whole lot of time together\, so it’s not that foreign to be able to get on a call and get your point across to anybody else in the band. We know each other well enough to be able to accomplish that\,” added Putnam. \nThe album was finished through work in a few Nashville studios with the help of producer and collaborator\, Brennan Aerts. \nDespite a more fragmented process\, the band regards Set Yourself Free as more reminiscent of their early work\, citing it as fresh and exciting. Ritter believes they have a fan favorite on their hands- something that will re-energize the old fan-base as well as draw in new listeners. Without a set sound in mind\, the group was free to mold the record into what feels like an authentic Moon Taxi album. \n“We didn’t exactly sit down and have an agenda for what the album was going to sound like. We just worked on songs for a long period of time and then the last couple of months have been more of a discovery process – discovering what we’ve actually been doing and trying to make sense of the whole thing\,” says Thomson. “So instead of going for some goal that we set out for\, it was more just exploring things and seeing how they all work together. We just leave all our opinions in and that makes it more like a Moon Taxi record- it’s all our inside input rather than outside input.” \nThe 13-song record covers a number of genres in a sequence that remains interesting listen after listen. The opening song\, “Walk Out\,” is a fully instrumental piece that features each member of the group. “It starts out with a really simple melody and just morphs into this thing we can all play on top of\,” Bailey observes. “I think it’s what our fans want to hear – that aspect\, the performance of it. You can hear our hands and fingers in a lot of these tracks that maybe got lost on some of the previous efforts. For me\, that’s really exciting. \nAnother band favorite is “Classics\,” which was released as the first single from the record. The chorus line\, “raise your glasses to the classics\,” resonated quickly with the group as they recalled its debut at Hangout Fest when they used that line as a pre-performance toast. Driving and catchy\, this song is an instant reminder of the songs we all live our lives to. \nAn ode to Thomson’s hometown of Bowling Green\, Kentucky\, “Evergreen” brings a bluegrass vibe to the album and features Grammy winning artist Molly Tuttle. Thomson had been hoping to write “a little nugget” about his beloved town\, but after Bowling Green was hit by a tornado in 2021\, the right words finally came to him. With endearing harmonies and a folky melody\, “Evergreen” will surely inspire many listeners to book tickets to visit home. \nWith five previous albums under their belt\, Moon Taxi had\, and took\, the opportunity to think outside the box and make some reaches\, both musically and lyrically. “I think a lot of that freedom comes with having done it for a long time and on album number six\, you’re no longer trying to find your sound like you are in earlier albums. You can kind of do what you want and then objectively look at it towards the end\,” said Putnam. “You just trust yourself and your ear.” \nSet Yourself Free showcases the skill of a fully developed and practiced group of musicians. DESCRIPTION:BUY TICKETS\nIconic American band\, THREE DOG NIGHT\, now celebrating its 6th decade\, boasts some of the most astonishing chart statistics in popular music with 21 consecutive Billboard Top 40 hits\, including 3 #1 singles and 12 straight RIAA Certified Gold LPs. \nCreated in 1968 by Irish-born Danny Hutton\, the group was conceived to feature three strong vocalists who shared leads and also blended together in exquisite three-part harmony\, complemented by four ace instrumentalists\, creating a self-contained unit. This ultimately became Three Dog Night’s signature sound in the studio and live on the road. \nWorking with the studio duo of Richie Podolor and Bill Cooper at American Recording\, they resurrected and recreated songs of the best and mostly undiscovered new songwriters of that time including Harry Nilsson\, Randy Newman\, Elton John\, Laura Nyro\, Paul Williams and Hoyt Axton among many others. The band’s eclectic taste and arranging talents\, combined with the ability to recognize and record hits in a distinctive style\, resulted in Three Dog Night dominating the charts for years\, earning a Grammy nomination\, performing at two Super Bowls and pervading American culture with its music ubiquitous on the radio and in film and television. \nFrom their debut eponymous album\, Three Dog Night went on to release 12 gold albums and by 1975\, driven by chart-topping songs like “One” “Easy to be Hard”\, “Mama Told Me (Not to Come)\,” “Joy to the World”\, “Black and White”\, “Shambala” and others\, the band had sold over 50 million records. During that time Three Dog Night also toured relentlessly\, quickly ramping up from smaller venues to selling out stadiums\, virtually establishing the modern concept of a “stadium tour”. \nHutton\, a denizen of the Laurel Canyon and Sunset Blvd music scenes\, was well established as a songwriter\, producer and recording artist. He worked as a writer/producer for the label established by Hanna-Barbera animation studio where he was also immortalized as a character on “The Flintstones”. Hutton had several regional hits as a solo artist including “Roses and Rainbows” and was invited to join the Sonny and Cher tour\, where he met Cory Wells\, lead singer of the Enemys. They recruited Chuck Negron to complete the sound. Initially the trio planned to work with Danny’s good friend and mentor\, Brian Wilson\, and record for the Beach Boys label Brother Records. Wilson had christened them “Redwood” and they began work on several tunes. However\, that project was abandoned when the Beach Boys objected to Brian’s songs going to another band. After staging a showcase at Hollywood’s famous Troubadour and garnering the attention of various label heads\, Hutton eventually signed the group to ABC Dunhill records. They sought out talented musicians and formed their own self-contained band to both tour and record – allowing them to hone a specific sound and giving them independence from the labels and “Wrecking Crew” studio musicians that drove the sound of that era. The band’s name –Three Dog Night is the now famous moniker that derives from the tale of outback hunters who sleep with their dingoes on cold nights\, the coldest being a “three dog night”. \nThree Dog Night continues to perform over 80 shows a year – thrilling multigenerational audiences by delivering those larger-than-life songs with customary impeccable harmonies over a hard-driving rock and roll foundation. \nThis year\, Three Dog Night will release Enter its first studio album in nearly 40 years. Band of Horses fashioned gorgeously ragged epics\, Ben Bridwell’s high-flying vocals and eccentric enunciation floating like a specter that felt like a prelude to a dream. Full of profundity\, truth\, and sometimes just homespun advice on how to live\, Band of Horses songs have become anthems and touchstones for fans—meditations on change\, longing\, and what a person will do to make things right. And what you do when you can’t. \nThe band’s debut Everything All the Time (2006) introduced their sweeping\, emotionally resonant sound\, and the albums that followed have cemented their place in the indie rock canon. They’ve released six studio albums\, including Infinite Arms (2010)\, which earned a Grammy nomination. Most recently\, the critically acclaimed Things Are Great (2022) finds the band recapturing the raw emotion and unpolished punk-rock spirit of its earlier days. \nABOUT DINOSAUR JR. \nDinosaur Jr. was founded in 1984 and the group emerged among the most highly regarded in alternative rock. By reintroducing volume and attack in his songs\, Mascis shed the strict limitations of early 1980s hardcore\, becoming an influence on the burgeoning grunge movement. Mascis’ body of work continues to inspire a generation of guitar players and songwriters today. Restoring the sound established by the opening hat-trick gambit of Dinosaur\, You’re Living All Over Me\, and Bug\, 2007’s Beyond continued the band’s march into Rock greatness by making old ears smile and new ears bleed afresh. Just days before the US presidential election\, Folds recorded two sold out performances with the NSO which he released as a live album in 2025 that debuted at the top of the Billboard classical and classical crossover charts. A New York Times Best Selling author\, Ben also creates new music for film\, tv and theatre\, including original songs for an ongoing series of animated Peanuts specials on Apple TV. \nIn 2022\, he launched a music education charitable initiative in his native state of North Carolina entitled “Keys For Kids\,” which provides funds and keyboards to existing nonprofits that offer free or affordable piano lessons to school-age children from economically disadvantaged households. The show includes many Beach Boys’ hits (“California Girls\,” ”Help Me Rhonda\,” “I Get Around\,” “Wouldn’t It Be Nice\,” “Sloop John B\,” “Surfin’ USA” and “Fun\, Fun\, Fun”) plus songs from the critically acclaimed Love You album and other rarities from the 70’s. The Pet Sounds Band includes Al’s son Matt Jardine\, who has received rave reviews for his youthful Brian Wilson-like vocals on classics like “Good Vibrations\,” “God Only Knows\,” “Don’t Worry Baby” and “Surf’s Up” from The Beach Boy’s legendary unreleased masterpiece SMiLE! \nA little bit of history—after Al’s family moved to Hawthorne\, California\, in the mid-50’s\, he met Brian\, Carl and Dennis Wilson along with Mike Love\, to form the band in 1961. Al played guitar\, arranged and produced many songs and sang lead on the No. 1 hit “Help Me\, Rhonda.” In 1988\, Al was inducted into the Rock ’n’ Roll Hall of Fame as a member of The Beach Boys and in 2001\, he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award Grammy. In 2005\, Al released Sloop John B: A Pirate’s Tale\, a fun-filled adventure children’s book based on the classic folk song (and Beach Boys hit) of the same name. \nAl released his first studio album\, A Postcard from California\, in 2010\, which was recently re-released to a worldwide audience from Universal Music and also a new 4-track EP in 2025 called Islands In The Sun\, which includes guest appearances from Neil Young and Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers. \nIn 2026\, Al Jardine and The Pet Sounds Band perform the classic hits and rarities in a tribute to the late Brian Wilson—it’s a show that promises to keep the good vibes and beautiful harmonies of The Beach Boys’ timeless music alive for many more years!
