Join Point of the Bluff Vineyards for Ink & Drink with The Adirondack Ink! Learn the basics of Modern Calligraphy.

Point of the Bluff Vineyards is so excited to host a workshop in collaboration with The Adirondack Ink. Instructor, Sarah Dustin, will lead you through a 2 hour workshop at our beautiful open air pavilion.

Included in your ticket is one glass of wine, and additional glasses and bottles will be available throughout the event, as well as light snack options.

Modern Calligraphy for Beginners is a skill-based workshop designed for individuals with little to no experience with calligraphy! This fun, laid back, and engaging workshop will help students learn the purpose, technique, and care for calligraphy tools, the structure/anatomy of lowercase and uppercase letters, the creation of an individualized alphabet, and finally, connecting those letters into words. Most of all, this workshop is intended to help students relax and de-stress while learning the beautiful art of Modern Calligraphy for your leisure and DIY project needs!

Your RSVP includes two (2) hours of hands-on instruction from calligrapher Sarah Dustin of The Adirondack Ink, one (1) carefully curated, take-home Calligraphy Kit (for you to keep!), a final project, and your drink of choice from Point of the Bluff!

Each Calligraphy Kit includes an exclusive workbook, an alphabet exemplar, custom practice templates, two (2) unique pen holders, two (2) metal nibs, a jar of my favorite black calligraphy ink, high quality calligraphy paper, and final project supplies.

FAQs

Do I need “good penmanship” to participate in this workshop?

Not at all! Some of the best calligraphers “write in disguise” during the day and at the office. This workshop will introduce you to the necessary tools and techniques. Once you know how to use them, they’ll take control of the rest!

Are there age restrictions?

No, all ages are welcome.

Non alcoholic drinks will be available.

What if I’m left-handed?

No worries, Calligraphy and Hand-Lettering doesn’t discriminate amongst lefties and righties. In fact, past left-handed participants have succeeded at the same pace as their right-handed friends.

Your safety and health is our biggest priority. Masks will be required anytime you are not seated at your station, which will be placed 6 feet away from other individuals and groups.
