Tasting Room Staff

At Point of the Bluff Vineyards, we believe a visit to the tasting room should be more than just a stop–it should be a memorable experience. In a beautiful setting overlooking Keuka Lake, our team creates a welcoming, educational, and engaging environment where guests can explore our wines and connect with our brand.
We’re seeking Tasting Room Staff to play a key role in delivering exceptional guest experiences. This position is hands-on and guest-focused, involving everything from leading tastings and sharing wine knowledge to supporting retail sales, events, and wine club engagement.
What You’ll Do
- Deliver a warm, welcoming, and professional guest experience, serving as a first point of contact and ambassador for Point of the Bluff Vineyards
- Lead engaging wine tastings for guests of varying group sizes, providing thoughtful education on wines, the Finger Lakes region, and the POB story
- Drive retail sales by confidently recommending wines and merchandise, and completing transactions accurately through the POS system
- Promote and enroll guests in the Wine Club, clearly communicating benefits and fostering lasting relationships with members
- Maintain the overall appearance and organization of the tasting room, including merchandising displays, restocking inventory, and ensuring a clean, polished environment
- Support daily operational tasks such as glassware cleaning and stocking, opening and closing procedures, and general upkeep of all guest-facing spaces
- Assist with on-site events and represent the winery at occasional off-site tastings and activations
- Help fulfill wine orders, including packing and preparing shipments with attention to detail and accuracy
- Collaborate with team members and participate in ongoing training, staff tastings, and meetings to continuously build product knowledge and service skills
